I had an amazing stay at the hotel. The room was lovely and even better than I expected, spotless, and stocked with plenty of tea and coffee. The service was exceptional, with the staff being patient, sweet, and understanding. The location couldn't have been better, offering stunning views and fantastic features. The dining experience was one of the best I've ever had, especially as a vegetarian. Overall, it was a wonderful experience with great value for money.

The hotel has a 'seaside shabby chic' look and is very tidy, clean, and tastefully decorated. The rooms feature a good king-size bed, smart TV, and DAB radio, with a lovely mural on the bunk beds. The restaurant serves good food and wine, accompanied by a great breakfast. However, the booking process could have been clearer.
Rooms
9.0
The rooms were very tidy, clean, and tastefully decorated with ample furniture and a very large, comfortable bed. The decor and view from the web cam were great, and the shower with a lovely mural on the bunk beds added a nice touch.
Service

The staff were very helpful and extremely friendly, although some additional customer attentiveness training could benefit them. The housekeeping was good, and a welcome drink added a nice touch to the experience.
Location

The location is simply excellent, offering superb views over the mouth of the Teign. It is ideal, with its own beach accessible through the Smugglers' Tunnel and close proximity to attractions like Shaldon zoo.
Dining

The dining experience was enjoyable overall, with very tasty food and some slightly unusual choices. However, improvements could be made in terms of preparing and presenting specific dishes.

The hotel is nestled on a small hill overlooking the sea in Teignmouth, offering stunning views and a secluded beach through the Smugglers' Tunnel. The rooms, located at the rear of the property, are comfortable, clean, and well-equipped with quality bedding. The friendly and helpful staff make the stay pleasant, but the dining experience could use improvement.
Rooms
8.0
My room at the rear of the property was comfortable, clean, and well-appointed. The large ensuite had everything I needed including bottled water, a selection of teas and coffees, and constant hot water. The use of the phrase 'Annexe' for special rooms was a bit confusing at first.
Service
7.0
The staff here are really friendly and helpful, making my stay enjoyable. I did notice that they seemed more focused on other tasks rather than solely on guest service.
Location
9.0
The location overlooking the sea and Teignmouth is absolutely amazing, offering beautiful views and access to a secluded beach through the Smugglers' Tunnel. The hotel's position on the headland provides a picturesque view of Teignmouth harbour and the estuary. The proximity to the beach and other attractions makes it an ideal spot for exploration.
Dining
6.0
The dining experience was a mix. While the restaurant at the country-style hotel nearby offered great quality, the service at the hotel itself was a bit slow. The homemade biscuits were a nice touch, but overall, it didn't fully meet my expectations.
Facilities
The hotel provides basic facilities, and the housekeeping service was satisfactory. However, improvements could be made in terms of the dining experience to enhance the overall stay.
